I started getting into manifesting back in 2011 after reading The Secret and then The Power. Didn’t tell anyone at the time – I mean, it sounded a bit daft, didn’t it? But then in 2012, I started Scouse Bird… and honestly? Since then, I can't really think of anything I’ve wanted that I haven’t ended up getting – unless, with hindsight, it turned out to be something that clearly wasn’t right for me anyway (mostly fellas).
My dreams have changed loads over the last decade – I’ve gone from wanting one thing to something completely different – but my ability to make them happen has stayed the same. And the one thing that’s been constant through all of it? Gratitude.
Not in a “say thank you or the universe will snatch your sweets” way, but in that dead simple, dead powerful way where you cling onto the good moments – those little wins, those glimpses of something going right – and let them grow.
Because when you’re in that mindset, more good stuff just seems to come. It’s like oiling the cogs in a rusty old machine – at first nothing’s moving, but then the wheels start turning and before you know it, things just click into place.
That’s why I made the Scouse Bird Gratitude Journal.
It’s simple. It’s basic. And that’s on purpose. No one wants to sit there writing an essay at the end of the day (and if you do, you’re a better person than me 😂).
It’s more of a quick exercise to get your gratitude juices flowing and help you focus on what’s good – because that’s all you really need to start shifting things.
It means finding joy in the now. Not in the fake ‘love and light’ kind of way, but in a grounded, dead real kind of way. A brew in silence. A dead good hair day. A minute’s peace in the madness. Gratitude turns small moments into magic.
Start small. Write down what’s gone right today – even if it’s just “I remembered to feed the cat.” The more you spot the good, the more you’ll start attracting it. It’s like the universe’s version of ‘like attracts like’ – just with less crystals and more realism.
It doesn’t have to be poetic. Just honest. Three things you’re grateful for, and three things you want to call in. Keep it simple. Keep it consistent.
Whatever you’re buzzing about. Sunshine. Clean bedding. A mate who texted when you needed it. The Scouse Bird Gratitude Journal makes it dead easy – no essays, just space to check in and shift your vibe.
Oh God - Yes babe. It’s not instant magic, but it works like compound interest. Do a little bit often and it builds up into something powerful. That’s why I made our journal dead simple to stick to.
Pair your gratitude with what you want to bring in. “I’m grateful for my home and calling in an even bigger one with space for a walk-in wardrobe.” Manifest like you mean it. Here's my recommended reading list for if you really want to go hell for leather.
Decide what you want. Get specific. Visualise it like it’s already here. Then keep your eyes open for ways to make it happen. The world moves when you do.
Whatever feels powerful for you. Mine’s usually “I’ve got this.” But you can go classic with “I attract what’s meant for me” or “Good things are on the way.”
“Money flows easily to me.” “I deserve financial freedom.” Say it like you believe it, even if your overdraft disagrees for now.
Gratitude first. Then act. Money loves movement – so whether it’s launching that side hustle or finally emailing that quote, make the move.
Whenever you’re calm and focused. Morning while you’re sipping your brew. Night just before sleep. Do it when it feels aligned, not forced.
Start with self-love. Write down how you want to feel with your person, not just what they look like. The rest flows.
If you’re open to it, yeah. It’s about matching the energy of the relationship you want, then not settling for anything less.
Visualise them, write about them, and most importantly – act like you’re already the version of you who’d attract them. Confidence is magnetic.
Manifesting doesn’t have to be woo-woo. It’s just about clarity, gratitude, and action – and having something like the Scouse Bird Gratitude Journal in your corner makes it dead easy.
